The work expresses a concept of kinetic art in which the image is reflected and dissected. The reflective surface mirrors the environment and at the same time the painted parts of the work itself. Thus, walking in front of the work, one perceives this “interweaving” of reflections that alternate in a regular and symmetrical manner.
The analysis of the movement created by the refraction is linked to the visual perception of the void created by the open “windows”: depending on the color, shape and surface that the eye sees inside the holes, the visual effect and the kinetic project change. If the holes are closed with a reflective surface, the windows are reflected on it, giving the illusion of entering the work itself; if the void is maintained, the interior of the cylinder and the holes on the opposite side are seen intertwining with those in the foreground, creating moving forms that emerge from the interlocking geometries.
